An automated monitor in AWS ap-south-1 (Mumbai) probes each platform every five minutes. Each run measures DNS resolution, TLS handshake, time to first byte and full page load, validates the response body, and inspects certificate expiry.
Beyond simple reachability, the monitor signs in to each platform with a dedicated service account through AWS Cognito and exercises key authenticated pages, so this page reflects what a working session actually experiences, not just whether the home page answers.
A platform is marked degraded when responses exceed three times its baseline or a non-critical check fails, and down when the application is unreachable or authentication fails outright.
